The latest in a new wave of production geniuses starting an all-out assault on modern music is popular DJ Mark Ronson. Over the past few years, his production work for Lily Allen, Robbie Williams, Christina Aguilera and, most notably, Amy Winehouse, has earned him widespread attention and acclaim. Tending to favor horn-heavy compositions, and with a knack for the slick electronic production values that only come from DJ experience, his signature sound has infiltrated all the best airwaves. His excellent second album Version was released earlier this year, and is made up of cover versions of iconic British songs from the recent past, with vocals provided by many of his recent muses. Check below for a selection of his own songs and some of his best production work and a recent remix of Bob Dylan (the Amy Winehouse collaborations are crucial!).
