Preview: Grammy Nominations

Cheers to the Grammy Awards committee for nominating some excellent and well-deserving records for this year's awards! This year marks the 50th awards ceremony, and will be broadcast on February 10, 2008, at 8 pm on CBS. Announced this past Thursday, the amazing trainwreck Amy Winehouse earned six nominations, including nods in all the big categories (album, record and song of the year, as well as best new artist). Other big draws were Kanye West (eight), Timbaland (five), Justin Timberlake (five) and the Foo Fighters (five). Congrats!

Here are the nominees in all the categories that I usually pay attention to, with my picks starred:
